Overview:

Brik Partners is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our agile software engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable applications using Java and related technologies.

 

Responsibilities:

– Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and microservices

– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality software

– Write clean, testable, and well-documented code following best practices

– Implement and integrate with databases, message queues, and other data sources

– Optimize application performance, reliability, and security

– Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards

– Stay updated with the latest Java frameworks, libraries, and industry trends

 

Requirements:

– 5-9 years of experience in Java software development

– Strong proficiency in Java 8 or later, J2EE, Spring Framework, and related technologies

– Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps practices

– Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL) and SQL

– Knowledge of version control systems (Git, SVN)

– Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

– Strong written and verbal communication abilities

 

Preferred Qualifications:

– Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

– Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

– Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Node.js)

– Understanding of test-driven development (TDD) and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD)

– Exposure to big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus
