Overview:

 Brik Partners is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join our world-class security operations team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining security controls to protect our systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and manage security solutions to protect systems, networks, and data across on-premises and cloud environments

  • Perform risk assessments, security audits, and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies

  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices aligned with industry frameworks (NIST, ISO, CIS)

  • Implement and configure security tools like SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, antivirus, DLP, and vulnerability management solutions

  • Conduct security awareness training and provide guidance to development and operations teams

  • Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents and potential breaches

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into the software development life cycle

  • Stay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and countermeasures

Requirements:

  • 5-9 years of experience in a cyber security engineering or analyst role

  • Deep understanding of security principles, controls, and industry best practices

  • Hands-on experience with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, firewalls, antivirus)

  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell

  • Strong knowledge of network security, application security, and cloud security

  • Experience in security auditing, risk assessments, and penetration testing

  • Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance regulations (NIST, ISO, PCI-DSS, GDPR)

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry certifications (CISSP, GIAC, OSCP, or equivalent)

  • Experience working in a DevSecOps environment

  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Background in incident response and forensic analysis

  • Understanding of secure coding practices and secure SDLC
