Overview:
Brik Partners is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join our world-class security operations team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining security controls to protect our systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement and manage security solutions to protect systems, networks, and data across on-premises and cloud environments
Perform risk assessments, security audits, and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies
Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices aligned with industry frameworks (NIST, ISO, CIS)
Implement and configure security tools like SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, antivirus, DLP, and vulnerability management solutions
Conduct security awareness training and provide guidance to development and operations teams
Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents and potential breaches
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into the software development life cycle
Stay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and countermeasures
Requirements:
5-9 years of experience in a cyber security engineering or analyst role
Deep understanding of security principles, controls, and industry best practices
Hands-on experience with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, firewalls, antivirus)
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Strong knowledge of network security, application security, and cloud security
Experience in security auditing, risk assessments, and penetration testing
Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance regulations (NIST, ISO, PCI-DSS, GDPR)
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Industry certifications (CISSP, GIAC, OSCP, or equivalent)
Experience working in a DevSecOps environment
Knowledge of cloud security best practices (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Background in incident response and forensic analysis
Understanding of secure coding practices and secure SDLC
